Today, October 22, 2015, in our
Human Geography class with Mr. Schick, we continued the review of our test we
took last week. Again, it was nice to have a little cool off period since it is
a Friday and I think all of us are ready to go home. When we finally fished the review, we talked a
little bit more about the kiva project that Mr. Schick is encouraging us to do
in order to get get extra points on a quiz. We learned that because the
administration did not completely approve of him having us “pay for our grades”,
he added in a writing portion that will explain a little bit about the website
kiva and the people we choose to sponsor. I will definitely start that either
this weekend or when I have my free mod on Monday because I really want to take
advantage of this opportunity.

Quiz #2
Today, October 20, 2015, in our
Human Geography class with Mr. Schick, we received the tests that we took last
week that we have been waiting for. I predicted that I would not do very well
on this test but I actually did better than I thought. I got an 84% on the test
and although I would have liked to have done better, this did not damage my
grade like I was expecting it to. For the entire class, we went over the test
and Mr. Schick let us correct the answers we got wrong. This was a good class
because it was very relaxed and I didn’t have to do much. I keep forgetting
that I also need to donate money to that charity website so I can earn 5 extra
points on the next quiz we take.

Kiva.org
Today, October 15, 2015, in our
Human Geography class with Mr. Schick, we had a much needed break from
learning. Justin Magee, one of my peers in this class, had to take the test
because he was absent from school, so for the beginning of the class, we just
sat quietly and went about our own thing. I enjoyed this because it was a
Friday and I was very tired. When Justin was done making up the test, we talked
about the fail of an assembly we that today. The entire class agreed that the assembly
was completely ineffective and we discussed some ways that it could have been
useful for the entire school. Finally, Mr. Schick introduced us to a charity
website called Kiva.org that donates money to struggling countries in Asia. We
learned that if we could prove that we donated at least twenty-five dollars to
this website, he would add points to our grade.
