Today, October 15, 2015, in our
Human Geography class with Mr. Schick, we had a much needed break from
learning. Justin Magee, one of my peers in this class, had to take the test
because he was absent from school, so for the beginning of the class, we just
sat quietly and went about our own thing. I enjoyed this because it was a
Friday and I was very tired. When Justin was done making up the test, we talked
about the fail of an assembly we that today. The entire class agreed that the assembly
was completely ineffective and we discussed some ways that it could have been
useful for the entire school. Finally, Mr. Schick introduced us to a charity
website called Kiva.org that donates money to struggling countries in Asia. We
learned that if we could prove that we donated at least twenty-five dollars to
this website, he would add points to our grade.
